EZ PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) / EZ Gel
Pre and Post Care Instructions
PRECARE:

1. Avoid the following for at least 1 week prior to treatment:
NSAIDS (Ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve, Naprosyn, Aspirin)—Tylenol is allowed
Certain nutritional supplements (Gingko, Garlic, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Flax Oil, Curcumin and other anti-inflammatory nutrients)
Systemic Steroids (prednisone, dexamethasone)
Alcohol and Cigarettes
2. Hydrate well the day before and the day of the procedure for
ease of blood draw.
3. Be sure to have something to eat before your appointment.
4. Get your workout done before your appointment if you plan to exercise that day.

POSTCARE:
​
1. Expect inflammation, swelling and redness. There may be bruising in certain areas.
Swelling is anticipated. It can last for 2-3 days up to 2 weeks.
2. You may apply Arnica gel or cream twice a day for 3 days then daily for 1 week. This is available over the counter.
3. Try to sleep on an incline and not on your belly.
4. Avoid any massages where you are pushing your face into a massage table.
5. Avoid the following for at least 1 week:

6. Avoid vigorous exercise for the next 1-2 days if swelling and bruising is bothersome.
7. PRF/ EZ gel treatments are generally spaced 4-6 weeks apart, and annual maintenance thereafter is suggested.
